AI faceless video generator

Let the story take the screen.

Shotmatic turns an idea or a script into a narrated short with AI visuals and captions, ready for you to download and post.

A faceless video carries its story without anyone on camera. A narrator reads the script, the pictures follow what is being said, and captions repeat the words for people watching with the sound off. That is the Faceless Short format in Shotmatic: you bring an idea or a finished script, and one render produces the narration, the scenes and the captions.

It fits the videos faceless channels are built on: history and science explainers, short stories, list videos, tips and lessons. You choose the voice, the visual style, the caption style and the length before anything is generated, and the creator shows the credit cost before you approve.

Script

How did Rome build roads that outlasted its empire? First, surveyors used a groma to plot a straight line. Workers dug down to firm ground, then laid the road in layers: big stones, then rubble and gravel bound with lime, then tightly fitted paving stones. The surface rose in the middle, so rain ran off into ditches on both sides. Milestones counted the distance in Roman miles, a thousand paces each. Many of those routes are still roads today.

Script

Why is the sky blue? Sunlight looks white, but it contains every color of the rainbow. As it passes through the air, it bumps into tiny gas molecules, mostly nitrogen and oxygen. These molecules scatter short wavelengths, like blue, much more than long ones, like red. So blue light gets bounced all over the sky and reaches your eyes from every direction. At sunset, light travels through much more air, most of the blue is scattered away, and the reds and oranges remain.

From an idea or from your own script

Start with a topic and Shotmatic drafts a script with a hook, a middle and an ending, built on the creator's story structures. Each draft costs 20 credits, and you can edit any line before you go on. If you already have a script, paste it instead and it is narrated exactly as written.

Each scene gets a generated image, or AI video motion if you choose one of the motion options, matched to that part of the script. The narration uses one of 12 voices, and the captions are timed to each spoken word.

Running a faceless channel

Most faceless channels post on a schedule. A sequence keeps the same voice, style and length and creates the next video on the rhythm you set, from once a week to twice daily. Each new video lands in your library for you to review. Shotmatic does not upload it to YouTube, TikTok or Instagram for you.

Keep each video to one idea, put the hook in the first sentence, and reuse a visual style so the channel looks consistent from one upload to the next.

How it works

Limits and availability

  • Shotmatic doesn't post anything for you. Download the finished MP4 and upload it to your channel or ad account yourself.
  • Drafting a script costs 20 credits. The video's price appears before you approve it, and no scenes, narration or captions are made until you do.
  • Without a paid plan, videos are capped at 30 seconds. Paid plans can target 15 to 180 seconds.
  • Generated images can get real people, places and events wrong. Check each scene against the script before you publish anything factual.

What it costs

The two examples above were quoted at 100 and 137 credits before they rendered. That quote is what the render charges; Shotmatic's own account is not billed.

With AI images, a video costs 100 credits at about 30 seconds (four scenes), 140 at 45 seconds and 180 for anything longer. Ultra images and AI video motion cost more, and each script draft costs 20 credits.

Questions

Do I have to appear on camera or record my voice?

No. The narration comes from one of 12 AI voices and the visuals are generated, so nothing is filmed or recorded.

Will Shotmatic post the videos to my channel?

No. You download each video and post it yourself. A sequence can create new videos on a schedule, but it saves them to your library rather than uploading them.

Can I use a script I already wrote?

Yes. Paste it into the creator and it is narrated as written. Shotmatic can also draft one from your idea, which costs 20 credits per draft.

How long can a faceless video be?

You set a target from 15 to 180 seconds on a paid plan. Without a plan the limit is 30 seconds.

Which languages can the narration use?

Scripts can be written and narrated in 8 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and Portuguese (Brazil).
