YouTube automation with faceless video series
A new Short on your schedule. You still press upload.
A sequence is a series of faceless shorts with one voice and one visual style. When the next video is due, Shotmatic writes a fresh script from your series guidance, narrates it, adds visuals and captions, renders it, and emails you that it is ready. You watch it, download it, and upload it to your channel.
How a sequence runs
- 01
Set it up once
Pick a voice, a visual style, a length and a schedule, and describe what the series is about. You can save the first video with the sequence paused and switch on future videos later.
- 02
Shotmatic checks the schedule
Every 5 minutes it looks for active sequences with a video due and starts each one.
- 03
It makes the video
A new script from your guidance, then narration, visuals, captions and the render, in the format you chose. Credits are charged as it is made.
- 04
You review and upload
An email tells you the video is ready. Watch it, download the MP4, and upload or schedule it in YouTube Studio.
Pick a schedule
Videos are spaced evenly through the week. Daily means one video every day. Scheduled videos run on paid plans, and your plan sets the most a sequence can make each week.
| Schedule | Videos a week | A new video |
|---|---|---|
| Once a Week | 1 | every 7 days |
| Twice a Week | 2 | every 84 hours |
| 3x Weekly | 3 | every 56 hours |
| 5x Weekly | 5 | every 33 hours |
| Daily | 7 | every day |
| Twice Daily | 14 | every 12 hours |
What each video costs
Each video costs the same credits as one video at the sequence's settings, charged when it is made. With AI images at standard quality:
| Length | Per video | 7 a week (Daily) |
|---|---|---|
| 30 s | 100 credits | 700 credits |
| 45 s | 140 credits | 980 credits |
| 60 s | 180 credits | 1,260 credits |
AI video scenes and ultra image quality cost more; the creator shows the price for your settings before you start. When your balance cannot cover the next video, the sequence stops making them.
What goes into each video
- 12 narratorsThe same AI voice on every video in the series.
- 6 visual stylesCinematic, Animated, Sketch Black&White, Classic Animation, Hand-painted Anime, Anime.
- 4 caption stylesViral, Bold, Minimal, Story.
- 8 script languagesWrite the series in the language your audience watches in.
Before you start a faceless YouTube channel
- Give the series a narrow theme. The guidance you write is what every script is drawn from: a topic, an angle and a tone keep fifty videos from blurring into one.
- Watch every video before it goes up. Scripts are written by AI. Check facts, names and anything a viewer could act on.
- Read YouTube's current rules. Its monetization policies and its disclosure rules for realistic AI-made content apply to your channel, and you are the one who uploads.
- Start small. A schedule you can review every week beats one that piles up unwatched videos.
Questions
- Does Shotmatic upload the videos to my YouTube channel?
- No. Live posting to social accounts is turned off, so each finished video waits in your library. Download the MP4 and upload it in YouTube Studio, where you can also schedule when it goes live.
- How often can a sequence make a video?
- From once a week (1 a week) up to twice daily (14 a week). Your plan sets the most a sequence can make, and options above it ask you to upgrade.
- What does each video cost?
- The same credits as one video at the sequence's settings. A 30-second short with AI images at standard quality is 100 credits, charged as each video is made.
- What happens when my credits run low?
- Scheduled videos stop when your balance cannot cover the next one; Shotmatic does not make a video it cannot charge for.
- Is every video the same?
- No. Each video gets a new script written from the series guidance you give, with the same voice and visual style, so the channel looks consistent without repeating itself.
- Can I run it from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex?
- Yes. The create_sequence tool on the Shotmatic MCP server sets up the same kind of series from your agent, using an API key from your account.
